How can you use your air fryer safely?
Follow these tips to use, clean and store your air fryer safely:
- Read the manufacturer’s instructions before using and follow all the safety information and warnings, including on the use of paper liners.
- Clean the interior of the air fryer after each use to avoid grease or food particles.
- Cleaning instructions for each air fryer model may vary. Refer to manufacturing instructions before putting any parts in the dishwasher.
- Do not immerse the air fryer in water or any other liquid, except for removable parts that the manufacturer states are washable.
- Make sure the air fryer is placed in a well-ventilated area on a non-flammable surface or material
- Do not cover any of the air vents while the unit is operating.
- Do not plug the air fryer into an extension cord.
- Do not leave the air fryer unattended when in use.
- Do not overfill the air fryer.
- If you notice smells or smoke turn off immediately and report to the manufacturer and contact the CCPC.
Has my air fryer been recalled?
In 2025, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) warned consumers to stop using certain models of Tower air fryers following a recall from the company. Almost 60,000 affected models have been sold in retail outlets across the Republic of Ireland. View air fryer recall notices and check whether your model number is affected:
