Please note that each vacancy requires a separate application.
What is the next stage after online application?
All applicants will receive confirmation their application was received once their application has been submitted. Please check your junk / spam folder. In the unlikely event that you do not receive this email, please contact recruit@ccpc.ie to check your application has been received. All applications are reviewed once the competition closes. The CCPC aims to contact all applications within two weeks of the closing date.
How should I prepare for an interview?
Our interviews are competency based, and we advise you use the STAR method. The STAR interview method is a convenient and easy-to-remember technique to help you answer interview questions. It gives you the opportunity to showcase your skills and suitability for the role by offering real-life examples of how you’ve used your skills.
Situation: you need to describe the situation and give a context and background
Task: describe the task you were set. If your story involves a team project, you must focus on what your specific role was
Action: discuss the actions you took in your attempt to finish the task. Once again, stick to information about what you did rather than other members of the team. The goal is to showcase your skills
Result: what was the final outcome? Whenever possible, give detailed and specific data
In a second-round interview, it will involve an assessment using practical methods such as presentations skills, writing assignments or role play. If this is the case, you will get plenty of notice to prepare for this.
Does CCPC use a recruitment partner?
