The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with European Union (Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies) Regulations 2020.

This accessibility statement applies to https://www.ccpc.ie/.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 level AA, due to the issues and exemptions listed below.

Non-accessible content

Parts of the ccpc.ie website are not fully accessible, for example:

  • PDF content: Sometimes older and technical information is stored in PDF files which are not fully accessible. For example, some documents do not use headings in a meaningful way or contain readable text elements. These older and technical documents and content are not required, by law, to be made accessible (visit European Union (Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications of Public Sector Bodies) Regulations 2020 for more information on exemptions).
  • Vimeo: Vimeo video active components may not be fully compliant. Since these are third-party elements originating from Vimeo, we have no ability to rectify them. We have provided transcripts of these videos as an accessible alternative.

This list is not exhaustive. We welcome feedback on any areas of the site which could be improved. If you would like support with accessing information or would like alternative versions of content, please contact us.

You can request alternative content, give us feedback or ask for help with the website by:

  • Emailing the website team ask@ccpc.ie.
  • Calling us on 01 4025500.

How we resolve issues

Each week we monitor a scan of ccpc.ie pages taken by the National Disability Authority (NDA) and seek to understand and resolve any accessibility issues with our third-party web development partner. We welcome feedback from our users on other areas for improvement.

Our team are supported by in-depth audits of website accessibility conducted by a third party Accessibility conformance agency. This informs what work we need to undertake to better improve the website universal accessibility.
