Toyota Ireland recalls certain ‘Proace’ passenger vehicles (Fuel)

January 7, 2020

Toyota Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Proace passenger vehicles. The vehicles were produced between July 2016 and June 2019.

There is a possibility that the fuel tube may become damaged over time due to movement between tube and ribs on the urea tank. As a result, there is a risk that the fuel might leak. If this occurs, the risk of fire if fuel gets in contact with an external heat source cannot be excluded.

The recall affects 144 passenger vehicles in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

Toyota Ireland will contact all affected vehicle owners and advise them to have the involved parts inspected and replaced if necessary.
