Toyota Ireland recall Land Cruiser 100

February 9, 2016

Toyota Ireland are carrying out a voluntary recall of certain models of the Land Cruiser 100.

The affected models were produced between 30th July 2002 and 7th June 2006.

There are 89 vehicles affected in Ireland.

The subject vehicles are equipped with side Curtain-Shield-Airbags (CSA) which deploy
from the roof area in the event of side collision or vehicle roll-over. Due to improper programming
of the airbag control module, there is a possibility that the Airbag module may erroneously detect
a roll-over causing curtain airbags and the seat belt pre-tensioners to be activated. Unexpected
activation of the CSAs without collision or roll-over could increase the risk of minor injury to the occupant.

What to do:

Toyota Ireland will be writing directly to those owners involved to arrange to have the repair carried out by their local dealer/Authorised repairer at a time convenient for them and at no cost to the owner. If you have a query you should contact your local Toyota Dealer/Authorised repairer or Toyota Ireland directly on 01-419 0222.
