CCPC searches premises in Cork

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has carried out a search in the Midleton area of Co. Cork.   

The CCPC is the statutory body responsible for the enforcement of the consumer protection law.  The search related to the used car sector and was part of an investigation under the Consumer Protection Act 2007.  

Authorised officers of the CCPC were supported by members of the local Garda Síochána.

As the investigation is on-going, no further comment can be made at this time.
