Product Safety Information Notice on CRASTS Hair Straightener sold by CRASTS SHOP on the TEMU platform

A safety issue has been identified with a CRASTS hair straightener sold by CRASTS SHOP on the TEMU platform.  

The risk reported to the CCPC is burns and electric shock. Due to inadequate circuit design, the user could access live parts and receive an electric shock. The handle of the product can overheat and cause burns to the user. 

The brand is CRASTS. The model number is 8889. The barcode is 6972802455613. The TEMU Product ID is 601099519143476. 

There are approximately 51 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.    

 What to do:   

 Consumers should stop using the product immediately and dispose of it sustainably in accordance with local electrical waste (WEEE) guidance. 

TEMU has contacted affected consumers regarding this recall on behalf of the seller and assisted them with the refund process.
