What is Global Money Week?
March 16, 2026
Global Money Week is just around the corner, kicking off from the 16-22 March 2026.
The theme Smart Money Talks focuses on supporting young people to talk openly about money, develop essential financial skills, and make informed decisions that build long‑term confidence and financial well‑being
Throughout Global Money Week, children and young people will have the chance to learn about the necessary money management skills, attitudes and behaviours needed to make smarter future financial decisions.
With the support of our partner organisations, young people in Ireland can explore topics like scams and fraud awareness, managing finances, understanding transactions and protecting their consumer rights.
So, what’s next?
The CCPC launched Ireland’s 2026 national Global Money Week campaign at an event in Croke Park on Wednesday 11 March. The Tánaiste and Minister for Finance, Simon Harris, could not be present with us in Croke Park, but he has kindly shared a video message.
The event highlighted the valuable work taking place across Ireland in financial education and celebrated the achievements of students participating in the CCPC’s Our Money, Our Future sponsorship initiative.
We’re excited to share a range of content throughout Global Money Week 2026. Keep an eye on our website, Instagram and Facebook over the next few days!
You can also visit the Global Money Week website for more information on how other countries are participating this year.
