Huntsman (Western) Bottlers Limited, (‘the trader’), was required under the relevant legislation to display a notice immediately outside or immediately inside each entrance to the premises which is open to the public specifying the price charged for any of the beverages specified in the relevant legislation (‘the 16-item list’) which were on sale in the premises. During an inspection at the trader’s premises at The Huntsman Inn, 164 College Road, Galway, Co Galway, the CCPC found the trader to be in breach of this requirement.
The CCPC served a Compliance Notice on the trader, which took effect on 24 October 2025, directing it to display, in a clearly visible position and legible form, immediately outside or immediately inside each entrance to the premises which is open to the public a notice specifying the price charged for any of the beverages mentioned in the 16-item list which were on sale in the premises.
