Outline of the Case
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has secured a number of important commitments from Nursing Homes Ireland (NHI), the representative body for this sector. These commitments follow an examination into potential anti-competitive conduct in the private nursing home sector. Competition law requires nursing home operators to decide individually, and not collectively, the list of goods/services they provide to consumers and the prices they charge.
