ORBEA recalls ORBEA AVANT MY2025 and MY2026 bicycles

January 26, 2026

ORBEA is carrying out a recall of ORBEA AVANT MY2025 and MY2026 bicycles.

A teal road bike with drop handlebars, thin tires, and disc brakes, shown from the side against a plain white background. The frame features the brand name “Orbea” in large lettering.

The risk reported to the CCPC is injuries. A crack could develop in the fork of the bicycle which, if undetected by the cyclist, could worsen and result in breakage of that part. This could cause an accident, leading to the injuries.

The brand is ORBEA. The type/model is AVANT. The batch numbers are MY2025 and MY2026. The serial number is available on your bicycle as illustrated below.

A graphic showing where to find the serial number on an Orbea bicycle. A faint outline of a bike is displayed in the background, with three blue circles pointing to possible serial‑number locations: underneath the bottom bracket, near the crank area, and on the front of the frame near the head tube. A barcode with the sample number “01170193951” appears at the top. Text below states that Orbea serial numbers are 11‑digit codes starting with 011.

There are approximately 16 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

The product was sold by the following retailers; Clonmel Cycles, Feel Good Cycles, O Sullivan Cycles Ltd, Mikes Bikes, Stagg Cycles, Marrey Bikes & Raw Cycles.

What to do:

Customers should stop using the product immediately and check if their bicycle serial number is affected here.

Affected customers should go to their ORBEA dealer for a free replacement of the fork.
