Kingfisher International Products BV Recalls GoodHome Integrated Fridge Freezers

Kingfisher International Products B.V. is carrying out a recall of GoodHome Integrated Fridge Freezers.
The risk reported to the CCPC is fire and electric shock. The automatic defrost mechanism may overheat, leading to localised damage and could create a risk of fire or electric shock.

The fridge‑freezer model and serial number can be found on the rating label located inside the compartment door (see image below)

There are approximately 63 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. Products were on sale between February 2022 and April 2026. The product was sold via B&Q Ireland Limited.
What to do:
Customers should stop using the product immediately, switch it off, and unplug it from the mains.
To enable replacement of the integrated fridge‑freezer, B&Q is offering consumers the following options:
- A full refund to purchase your own alternative, plus Euro170 in lieu of installation costs, or
- A free of charge equivalent product, for which you arrange installation, plus Euro170 in lieu of installation costs, or
- A free of charge equivalent product including installation which B&Q will arrange.
As the product is recalled, consumers should not dispose of or pass on the GoodHome integrated fridge‑freezer. B&Q will arrange collection of the recalled product.
Consumers may also be able to claim up to €85 if food from the fridge‑freezer has spoiled.
