Product Safety Information Notice AVANSA circulating pumps

A safety issue has been identified with the AVANSA® AVS Circulating Pump used in heating systems and placed on the market by ATRIA Slovensko s.r.o.

It has been identified that the mains electrical coupling to the pump can be connected in reverse which can pose a serious risk of electrocution.

The brand name is Avansa. The affected pump is the TIP AVS 32-6 EA 180 model. There is approximately 1 unit sold in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

An installed pump can remain in operation, but you must take care not to handle affected pumps as there is a serious risk of electrocution. Consumers that have the affected model of pump installed, and where the unit is working properly, can continue to safely use their heating systems.
