AliExpress recalls Universal Charger sold on AliExpress

AliExpress is carrying out a recall of a Universal Charger sold on AliExpress.
The risk reported to the CCPC is of electric shock. This is because the power cord plug is not earthed, which may result in users receiving an electric shock.
All electrical chargers must be compatible with a standard three-pin wall socket. Products fitted with two-pin plugs are not suitable for sale to consumers in Ireland and should not be purchased. An exception applies to compliant Europlugs used with compliant supply units for shaving devices.
The type/number of models is JCY-05100. The Aliexpress Product ID is 1005006975464963.
There were approximately 5 affected products sold on the AliExpress platform to consumers in the Republic of Ireland.
What to do
Consumers should stop using the product immediately and dispose of it sustainably in accordance with local electrical waste (WEEE) guidance.
