Product Safety Information Notice on Morco Gas Water Heaters 26 April 2024

A safety issue has been identified with Morco Open-Flued Gas Water Heaters which may be installed in mobile homes, caravans and domestic settings.

The risk associated with the product is that of fire, explosion, and injuries. There is a risk of gas leaking which, if ignited may cause burns, explosions, and injuries.

The brand is Morco, the 4 models are Primo 6(MP6), Primo 11(MP11), EUP6 and EUP11.

The models affected were sold between 2018 and 2023.

Morco have confirmed that approximately 1,116 affected products have been sold to customers in the Republic of Ireland. The distributors in the Republic of Ireland who have sold or installed the products currently include:

• Gas Home Limited,20A Grants Park, Greenogue, Rathcoole, D24 EH34, Co. Dublin.
• Burkes Caravan Services Mtd, Shanagarry, Midleton, P25 A432, Co. Cork.

The CCPC will update this distributor list and number of products affected as more information becomes available.

What to do:

Please visit the Morco website to fill in an upgrade form to organise a Registered Gas Installer to conduct the required safety upgrade to their water heater free of charge.
