Product Safety Information notice on Babboe Cargo Bikes

Babboe is preparing a recall of CITY, CITY E, MINI, MINI E, Pro Trike, Pro Trike-E, Pro Trike XL, City Mountain (produced before 2020), Slim Mountain, Transporter and Transporter E cargo bikes.

The product presents an injury risk. Hairline cracks may appear in the frame of the models shown. These cracks can lead to the frame breaking, which may lead to serious injury.
The brand is Babboe. The models affected are Babboe CITY, CITY E, MINI, MINI E, Pro Trike, Pro Trike-E, Pro Trike XL, City Mountain (produced before 2020), Slim Mountain, Transporter and Transporter E cargo bikes.
In Ireland different Market Surveillance Authorities have responsibility for different pieces of EU legislation. The Health and Safety Authority are the Market Surveillance Authority for the CITY-E, Mini-E, Pro Trike-E and Transporter E bikes (and all e-bikes/electric bikes).
What to do:
Customers should stop using the product.
Customers with a Babboe CITY, CITY E, MINI, MINI E, Pro Trike, Pro Trike-E, Pro Trike XL, City Mountain (produced before 2020), Slim Mountain, Transporter and Transporter E bike model should check the frame number to see if their cargo bike falls within the recall. Babboe will contact affected customers about the recall timing and next steps as soon as possible.
