The risk reported to the CCPC is electric shock and fire. The product lacks adequate insulation. The user can access live parts and receive an electric shock. Additionally, the insulation distances on the printed circuit board are too small, which could lead to overheating or fire.

All electrical chargers must be compatible with a standard three-pin wall socket. Products fitted with two-pin plugs are not suitable for sale to consumers in Ireland and should not be purchased. An exception applies to compliant Europlugs used with compliant supply units for shaving devices.
