HEAD Watersports S.p.A recalls Apeks Select Regulators
- Publication date:13 July 2026
HEAD Watersports S.p.A is carrying out a recall of Apeks XL4, XL4+ and Ocea Regulators Second Stages manufactured between April 2025 and April 2026.

The products present a risk of drowning. Internal components have been assembled incorrectly, which can restrict the flow of breathing gas at depths greater than 45 metres. This may reduce the diver's air supply and pose the risk of drowning.
The brand is Apeks. The type/number of models are XL4, XL4+, OCEA. A complete listing of affected parts and serial numbers are available in the Apeks Recall Notice.
The serial numbers range from 250402212 to 260402893 inclusive. The serial number can be found on the product (picture below).

There are approximately 12 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. The products were sold by retailer Levithan Diving Ltd.
What to do:
Consumers should stop using the regulator immediately and check whether it falls within the affected serial number range. Regulators within the affected range should be returned to an authorised Apeks dealer or service centre for a free inspection and, if necessary, repair. Inspection, repair, and shipping are provided free of charge.
If you are unsure whether your regulator is affected, contact your local Apeks dealer or customer support for assistance. To find your nearest dealer, visit the Apeks store locator.
