Cambridge Audio (EU) Limited recalls FH10 and FH20 ceiling speaker fire hoods

Cambridge Audio (EU) Limited is carrying out a recall of FH10 and FH20 ceiling speaker fire hoods.

The risk reported to the CCPC is of fire. The product does not provide sustained fire resistance, which allows flames and smoke to pass through the ceiling opening around the speaker more quickly in the event of a fire, increasing the risk of injury to consumers.

What to do:

Consumers should not rely on a fitted FH10 or FH20 fire hood for fire protection and should not install any unused FH10 or FH20 fire hoods.

To determine whether your installation is affected, please complete the installation assessment form.

Cambridge Audio is offering either:

• A free replacement FH11 fire hood for each affected FH10, or FH22 fire hood for each affected FH20; or
