Conor McGregor was found to have engaged in a prohibited commercial practice following an inspection of the individual’s Instagram social media account, whereby there was a failure to use appropriate labels to disclose the commercial nature of the content published, relating to Forged Irish Stout.

The CCPC served a Compliance Notice on Conor McGregor which took effect on 01 January 2026 directing them to do the following:

  • In all future instances, where a trader has paid for the promotion of a product or service, to use clear and appropriate disclosure labels to make it clear that such promotion is a paid promotion.
