Submission on the feasibility of transitioning Ireland’s waste collection market to a franchise tendering system

Submission of the CCPC to a Government consultation on the feasibility of transitioning Ireland’s municipal waste collection market from its current side-by-side licensing system to a franchise tendering system. In its submission, the CCPC called for the establishment of an economic waste regulator. We also highlighted that although an earlier market study we conducted on the waste sector did not advocate for tendering systems, we are open to the possibility.
