CCPC submission to Coimisiún na Meán consultation on a draft Online Safety Code

Submission of the CCPC to Coimisiún na Meán consultation on a draft Online Safety Code. In its submission, the CCPC welcomed the decision to focus the first online safety code on video-sharing platform services and providers and to make sure they take measures to address online harms more effectively. The response drew on the recently issued guidance by the CCPC and the Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland on influencer advertising, and we welcome references to the guidance in the draft safety code.
