Volvo Car Ireland Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain passenger vehicles including models XC60, S90, XC90, V90, V90CC, XC40 and V60.

The affected vehicles have a software issue in the Vehicle Connectivity Module (VCM), which means that in the event of an accident, the vehicle may not provide the correct location to the Emergency Services and the driver may experience a loss of position in the navigation system.

This recall affects 130 vehicles in the Irish market.

What to do:

Volvo Car Ireland Limited will be writing directly to those customers involved in this recall to arrange to have the VCM Software inspected and reprogrammed. The letter will also advise consumers affected by this voluntary recall to contact their nearest  Volvo Dealer/Authorised Repairer who will arrange to do the repair free of charge. Volvo Car Ireland Limited can be contacted on (01) 462 1122.
