Volkswagen Ireland recalls Golf 7, Golf 7 Estate, Sportsvan, Tiguan, Touran and Passat

January 23, 2017

Volkswagen Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain models of the Golf 7, Golf 7 Estate, Sportsvan, Tiguan, Touran and Passat manufactured between February 2016 and May 2016.

Volkswagen has established that on vehicles of a limited production period the response to a failure of a dipped beam (activation of the side lights) may not take place. It is also possible that the failure display on the instrument panel does not show the failure of a dipped beam, main beam, daytime running light, rear fog light or an indicator. It may also show a light as faulty although it is correct.

There are 1,508 affected vehicles on the Irish market.

What to do:

Volkswagen Ireland will be writing directly to those owners involved in the recall to arrange to have their vehicles checked. The letter will advise you to contact your nearest authorised Volkswagen Service Centre who will carry out the check and if needed the rectification, free of charge.

You can also contact Volkswagen Ireland directly on: 1850 812 761.
