Volkswagen Ireland recalls certain Polo models

Volkswagen Ireland is recalling certain Polo models manufactured between August 2014 and January 2015.

On all affected vehicles faulty signals may be generated in the airbag control unit because of a fault in the production of an internal acceleration sensor.  This can lead to problems in the airbag system.

There are approximately 108 affected vehicles in Ireland.

What to do
Volkswagen Ireland will be writing directly to those owners involved in the recall to arrange to have their vehicles re-fitted.

The letter will advise you to contact your nearest Volkswagen dealer who will do the refit free of charge.
