Toyota Yaris and Verso S recall

July 1, 2013

Toyota Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain models of Toyota Yaris and Verso S vehicles manufactured between November 2010 and November 2011.
The recall is due to a potential fault with the power steering motor which could short circuit causing the power steering to fail. If this happens a warning lamp on the dashboard will light and a buzzer will be heard. If the power steering fails the driver will require more effort to steer the vehicle.

This recall affects 614 vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

Letters will be sent by Toyota Ireland to customers informing them of the recall. The letter will advise you to contact your nearest Toyota dealer who will arrange to do the required check and repair free of charge. If you have questions or concerns you should contact your local Toyota dealer or Toyota Ireland Customer Relations for assistance on 01-4190222.
