Toyota recalls Yaris

April 14, 2016

Toyota Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Yaris Models. Production period is Nov 2015 through to Jan 2016.

This recall is being carried out due to a potential problem with the Rear Seat Belts. Due to a manufacturing issue, there is a possibility that the seat belt webbing could tear and separate in the event of a collision. If this occurs, the inner seat belt may not properly restrain the occupant, which could increase the risk to injury.

There are 520 affected vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

Toyota Ireland will be writing directly to those customers involved in this recall to arrange to have their vehicles checked and re-fitted if necessary. The letter will advise you to contact your nearest Toyota Dealer/Authorised Repairer who will arrange to do the check/repair free of charge. Toyota Ireland can be contacted on: 01 4190222.
