Toyota recalls RAV4, Hilux, Yaris models

May 14, 2015

Toyota Ireland has issued a voluntary recall of certain vehicles produced between August 2003 and December 2005. This is a separate recall campaign from those announced in 2014.

The recall is being carried out due to a potential problem with the front driver’s airbag. The driver’s airbag could deploy abnormally in a crash which could possibly lead to injury. There are approximately 2,852 vehicles affected in Ireland.

What to do
Toyota Ireland will be contacting the owners of all affected vehicles by mail and asking them to take their vehicle to a Toyota dealer. The dealer will arrange for and inspection and possible replacement of the affected part. This work will be carried out at no cost to the owner. You can get more information from Toyota Ireland directly on 01-419 0222
