Toyota recalls Prius, Prius+, Auris and Corolla
July 1, 2016
Toyota Ireland are carrying out a voluntary recall of certain models of the Prius, Prius+, Auris and Corolla. The period of manufacture is from October 2006 until January 2015.
The vehicles concerned are equipped with an evaporative fuel control unit (canister) that is mounted in the fuel tank. There is a possibility that cracks could develop in the outer portion of the canister due to improper shaping. As a result of this condition, the cracks could expand over time and, eventually, fuel may leak from these cracks when the vehicle has a full tank of petrol.
There are 11,181 affected vehicles on the Irish market.
