Toyota iQ and Prius recalls

Toyota Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of the following models:

Toyota iQ –  production period October 2008 to May 2010

This recall is being carried out due to a potential fault with the braking system which could lead to reduced braking force.

This recall affects 143 Toyota iQ vehicles in Ireland.

Toyota Priusproduction period January 2000 to May 2003

This recall is being carried out there is a risk of the steering operation becoming temporarily limited as on affected vehicles.

This recall affects 39 Toyota Prius vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

Letters will be sent by Toyota Ireland to customers informing them of the recall.

The letter will advise them to contact their nearest Toyota dealer who will arrange to do the required check and repair free of charge.

Toyota owners who may have questions or concerns should contact their local Toyota dealer or Toyota Ireland Customer Relations for assistance on 1800 224 222.
