Toyota extends recall of Auris, Corolla and Yaris

Toyota Ireland is carrying out a further voluntary recall of certain models of the Auris, Corolla and Yaris to cover vehicles manufactured between October 2006 and December 2008.

The recall is being carried out due to a potential problem with the front passenger’s airbag. The driver’s airbag could deploy abnormally in a crash which could possibly lead to injury.

There are 24,043 affected vehicles on the Irish market.

What to do:

Toyota Ireland will be writing directly to those customers involved in this recall to arrange to have the repair carried out.  The letter will advise you to contact your nearest Toyota Dealer/Authorised Repairer who will arrange to do the repair free of charge.
