Teufelberger GMBH recalls ‘Braided Safety Blue’, ‘Arbor Elite’, ‘Pottsblitz’ and ‘CEclimb’ slaice ropes

Teufelberger GMBH is carrying out a voluntary recall of ‘Braided Safety Blue’, ‘Arbor Elite’, ‘Pottsblitz’ and ‘CEclimb’ slaice ropes. The ropes were produced between January 2014 and September 2019.

A safety issue has been identified, whereby, it is possible that under certain circumstances, the termination (the eye) can open during use (through vibrations and compression). This could cause the climber to fall.

The recall affects approximately 69 products in the Republic of Ireland.

The below table provides information on all of the affected products which were distributed in the Republic of Ireland.

Teufelberger GMBH have contacted retailers by email, on their website and social media platforms informing them of this recall.

If you believe you have purchased an affected product, then you are advised to stop using it immediately. Teufelberger GMBH have provided guidelines to assist customers in identifying if their product is affected.
