Renault recalls Clio and Wind models

September 14, 2011

Renault Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of Clio and Wind models sold in the Republic of Ireland. The recall affects all vehicles fitted with any of the following engines:

  • 1.2 16V petrol engine and TCe 100 petrol engine, manufactured between 17 September 2010 and 30 November 2010
  • 16V Flex Fuel engine and 1.2 16V petrol engine, manufactured between 6 November 2010 and 22 November 2010

Renault Ireland has taken the decision to recall these models due to a valve issue that could cause damage to the engine.

This recall affects 388 vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

Letters will be sent by Renault Ireland to the owners of affected vehicles informing them of the recall and asking them to contact their nearest Renault dealer to arrange for the necessary work to be carried out as soon as possible.

Any work carried out as part of this recall will be completed free of charge.
