Product Safety Information Notice on a Toy Duck

A safety issue has been identified with a toy duck sold on the Joom platform.

The risk associated with the product is that of a chemical risk because the blue and green plastic contain phthalates DEHP and DIBP above permitted levels. These phthalates may harm the health of children, causing possible damage to their reproductive system.

The product also poses an environmental risk since the solder contains lead.

The brand is unknown. The type/number of model is 91440300MA5FLJ0R7K. The batch number and barcode are unknown.

Five products were sold on the Joom platform to consumers in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately and keep it out of the reach of children. You may wish to contact the online store from where you purchased this product to see if there are any remedies available to you. This can be done via your user account on the relevant platform.

As the solder in the product contains lead and is an environmental risk, you may wish to contact the EPA on (053) 916 0600 for advice on product disposal.
