Opel Ireland extends Zafira B recall

Opel Ireland is extending its voluntary recall of certain Zafira B models.

The affected vehicles fall within the VIN range from: W0L0AHM7552114056 to W0L0AHM75E2109906 and are manufactured between 2005 and 2014 (and equipped with manual air conditioning).

This recall is being carried out because of a risk of fire. Investigations have concluded that the root cause is improper repair of the thermal fuse of the resistor in the heating and ventilation system.

There are 8,251 affected vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

Opel Ireland will contact the owners of all affected vehicles by mail and asking them to take their vehicle to an Opel dealer. The dealer will arrange for the replacement of the affected part if necessary. This work will be carried out at no cost to the owner.
