Opel Automobile Ireland Ltd recalls certain Zafira-B passenger vehicles

Opel Automobile Ireland Ltd is carrying out a voluntary recall of Zafira-B passenger vehicles. The vehicles were produced between November 2004 and October 2014.

A safety issue has been identified, whereby it is possible that due to movement of the wiring harness connector to the fan speed resistor, in rare circumstances, this can lead to electrical stress of the heating and ventilation system. The terminals within the connector plug may become heat damaged as a result.

This recall affects 8,117 vehicles in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

Opel Automobile Ireland Ltd have written directly to the registered owners of the affected vehicles advising them to make an appointment with their local Opel Authorised Repairer, where necessary repairs and replacement of parts will be carried out.
