Opel Antara Recall

June 5, 2015

Opel Ireland is conducting a voluntary recall of the Opel Antara.

There is a possibility of the vehicle starting unintentionally when the ignition key is in the ‘off’ position in the ignition lock, in which case the starter motor may be activated and if the vehicle is in gear, it may start to move. This could lead to persons, in particular outside the vehicle, being injured.

The affected production period extends from 2007 to 2010.

There are 671 vehicles affected in Ireland.

What to do

Opel Ireland will be contacting the owners of all affected vehicles by mail and asking them to take their vehicle to an Opel dealer. The dealer will arrange for the replacement of the affected part if necessary. This work will be carried out at no cost to the owner.

You can get more information from Opel Ireland directly on 01-533 9818.
