Nissan recalls Tiida (C11)

June 14, 2016

Nissan Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain models of the Tiida (C11).  The manufacture period extends from 13/11/2007 until 08/01/2014.

Deterioration of the inflator propellant’s density on some Takata SDI (Smokeless Driver Inflator) type inflators has been identified.  As a result, an abnormal driver airbag deployment may occur, causing injuries to the driver.

There are 5,401 affected vehicles on the Irish market.

What to do:

Nissan Ireland will be writing directly to those owners involved in the recall to arrange to have their vehicles checked and if necessary fitted with a new Driver Inflator. The letter will advise you to contact your nearest Nissan dealer who will arrange to carry out the necessary inspection/replacement free of charge. You can also contact Nissan Ireland directly on: 1850 302 302.
