Mercedes-Benz recalls E-class vehicles

August 13, 2018

Mercedes-Benz is carrying out a voluntary recall of E-Class models which were manufactured between February 2017 and January 2018:

In certain E-class vehicles, a fault in the navigation software may under certain circumstances lead to a faulty vehicle location being stored. As a result, when the emergency call system (eCall) is used, the position communicated to the Mercedes-Benz emergency centre might not correspond to the current vehicle position. In such cases, emergency services could not be directed to the vehicle.

298 vehicles have been affected in the Republic of Ireland.

What to do:

Mercedes-Benz Ireland will contact the owners of affected vehicles by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a Mercedes-Benz dealer.

This work will be carried out at no cost to the owner.

You can get more information from Mercedes Benz directly on 01-4094444, between the hours of 09:00 – 12:45 and 13:45 – 17:15.
