Mercedes Benz recalls cars and vans

Mercedes Benz Ireland is recalling all vehicles with 4 Cylinder Diesel Engines.

The passenger vehicles affected are: A-, B-, C-, CLA-, CLS-, E-, GLA-, ML-, S-, SLK-class, produced between 24th June 2008 and 10th December 2014.

The vans affected are: Sprinter, Vito, Viano and V-Klasse, produced between February and November 2014.

There is a possible problem with the chain tensioner gasket seal in these vehicles which may cause engine oil to leak.

This recall affects 664 passenger cars and 474 vans in Ireland.

What to do
Mercedes Benz Ireland will contact the owners of affected vehicles by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a Mercedes Benz dealer. The dealer will arrange for the replacement of the affected part. This work will be carried out at no cost to the owner.
