IKEA recalls ELDSLÅGA gas hob

IKEA Ireland are conducting a voluntary recall on all ELDSLÅGA gas hobs purchased before January 1st 2018 for repair, due to Carbon Monoxide (CO) emissions above EU limits. IKEA have advised that 325 units have been sold to consumers in Ireland.

The wrong gas injector was installed resulting in CO emissions above EU limits.

What to do:

Customers are urged to stop using the rapid burner (hob) placed in the upper right corner as pictured until the repair service has been completed. All other burners are safe to use. There are no elevated risks of fires or explosions.

To have the product repaired, IKEA ask customers affected to contact the Customer Service team on (01) 541 3302 to book a time for the repair to be carried out, free of charge. Proof of purchase is not required.
