Hotpoint DWF3 series and DC26 series dishwasher safety alert

Hotpoint has issued a safety alert on Hotpoint DWF3 series and DC26 series dishwashers.

Hotpoint is aware of a small number of cases of dishwashers where an electrical component has failed. This may lead to overheating and in rare cases cause a potential fire hazard. A total of 13,669 of these branded dishwashers have been sold in Ireland between 1999 and mid 2003 through a number of retail outlets.

No other Hotpoint dishwashers are affected by this safety alert.

What to do:

  1. Check the model number of your Hotpoint dishwasher. This can be found on a sticker on the inside of the door. The model numbers are also found on the front of the appliance. As a precaution, make sure the appliance is turned off. The affected model numbers are:
    • DWF30
    • DWF31
    • DWF32
    • DWF33
    • DWF34
    • DWF35
    • DWM37
    • DC26
