Honda recalls Civic, Jazz, Accord and Stream models

June 25, 2014

Honda Ireland has issued a voluntary recall of certain Civic, Jazz, Accord and Stream vehicles. This recall is following on from a recall which was carried out in May 2013.

On certain models produced between 2001 and 2003, the passenger’s front air bag could rupture on inflating, causing metal fragments to be propelled and potentially causing injury to a vehicle occupant.

There are approximately 2,000 vehicles affected in Ireland.

What to do

Honda Ireland will be contacting the owners of all affected vehicles by mail and asking them to take their vehicle to a Honda dealer or authorised repairer. The dealer will arrange for the replacement of the inflator. This work will be carried out at no cost to the owner. You can get more information from Honda Ireland on (01) 6423100 or by emailing customerservice@honda.ie
