Henry Ford & Son Limited recalls certain passenger vehicles

March 18, 2020

Henry Ford & Son Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain Ford Puma passenger vehicles.

The vehicles in question were produced between 06/11/2019 to 29/01/2020. There are 213 vehicles affected on the Irish market.

A safety issue has been identified, whereby the driver’s airbag retention spring that is outside of specification may not securely lock the driver’s airbag module to the steering wheel. In the event of deployment, it may be possible for the airbag to be released from the steering wheel and into the passenger compartment. To prevent this issue a replacement airbag retention spring must be installed.
