Ford Ireland recalls Ford Ranger

April 11, 2018

Ford Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of Ranger passenger car models which were manufactured in 2011.

The recall is due to a potential risk where the clip with which the gear pulleys are secured, may not be completely engaged in the metal section of the handbrake pulley and this fault could mean that the vehicle no longer has any power.

There are 143 affected vehicles on the Irish market.

What to do:

Ford Ireland will contact all affected consumers, advising them to bring the vehicle to any authorised Ford garage to have the vehicles checked and if necessary, rework to be carried out free of charge.

You can contact Ford Ireland on 1800 771 199.
