Fiat Grande Punto recall

March 4, 2011

Fiat is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain batches of its Fiat Grande Punto model.

This recall is being carried out due to possible issues with the Antilock Braking System wiring on some vehicles. This may cause damage over time, with the potential risk of short circuit, which in extreme cases could cause fire.

The recall involves 103 Fiat vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

Letters will be sent by Fiat to the owners of the affected vehicles informing them of the recall and asking that they arrange for an appointment with a Fiat dealer for any necessary work to be completed.

For more information consumers can contact Fiat on free phone 1800 3428 00.

The work carried out as part of the recall will be completed free of charge.
