BMW recalls X3 and X4

May 19, 2016

BMW Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain models (F25 and F26) of the X3 and X4.

The four ISOFIX brackets of the child restraint system in the back seats might not be robust enough and therefore might break under dynamic bending stress.

Production period from September 2010 to April 2016.

There are 1,409 affected vehicles in Ireland.

What to do:

BMW Ireland will be writing directly to those owners involved in the recall to arrange to have their vehicles inspected and refitted if necessary.  The letter will advise you to contact your nearest BMW dealer who will arrange to do the refit free of charge. You can also contact BMW Ireland directly on 1890 719 421.
