The manufacture period extends from 04/12/2002 until 05/04/2011. This voluntary recall is being carried out due to a potential problem where cracks may appear in the wheel flange.  In the course of use the cracks can propagate and could lead to a fracture of the bolted join. This recall affects approximately 900 vehicles in Ireland.

What to do

Letters will be sent by BMW to owners of the affected vehicles who will be asked to arrange an appointment to have the required repair work completed at their authorised service agent. This will involve the replacement of the aluminium wheel flange with a steel one. Any work carried out as part of this recall will be completed free of charge.
