Audi recalls certain A1, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, Q5 and Q7 cars

April 12, 2017

Audi Ireland is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain models of the A1, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, Q5 and Q7 manufactured between 18/07/2016 and 14/10/2016.

Audi have been informed by one of their suppliers that, as the result of a change in the production process, their airbag and belt tensioner igniters were manufactured without strict adherence to the prescribed tolerances over a certain period. As a result the airbag or seat belt may not work correctly in the case of an accident.

There are 32 affected vehicles in Ireland.
