Argos safety notice for Simple Value Hand Blender

Argos has identified an inaccuracy with the instructions supplied for the Simple Value Hand Blender (Catalogue Number 909/8367) which could lead to a potential safety issue.

The instructions supplied with this product says that the Hand Blender is a two part assembly, where the lower part of the blender can be removed from the handle which is unfortunately incorrect.

Now whilst it takes a great deal of force, if the instructions are followed the Hand Blender can be broken apart, and in certain circumstances may pose a risk of electric shock.

There have been 2,957 of these products placed on the Irish market.

What to do:

If you bought a Simple Value Hand Blender (Catalogue Number 909/8367) between 1st May 2016 and 23rd January 2017, and it has a model number HB972A00 on the rating plate, then please don’t try and remove the lower part.
